Meet Our Veterinarians at Tamborine Mountain Vet - Dr Andrew Paxton-Hall

Dr Andrew Paxton-Hall BVSc

Andrew moved to Tamborine Mountain in 1992 with his young family having worked in a variety of practices in Queensland and the UK. He has been leading the team at our Tamborine Mountain clinic ever since. Andrew enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice and has enjoyed building long term relationships with many clients, he also performs the majority of our orthopaedic procedures within the 4 locations.

Outside of running the practice Andrew & his wife, Sherri enjoy spending time with their now grown-up family, hiking and exercising their boisterous black Labrador, Viv.

Meet Our Veterinarians at Tamborine Mountain Vet - Dr Kim Unwin

Dr Kim Unwin BVSc

Kim joined our team at the beginning of 2021 after graduating from James Cook University.

Kim enjoys both internal medicine and performing surgery, and has plans to pursue further medical accreditations throughout her career. While Kim loves all her patients she has a real soft spot for cats.
Kim is based at our Yarrabilba Hospital but also does regular days at Tamborine Mountain and Pimpama City when needed.

When not at work Kim can usually be found at her local CrossFit gym, getting coffee with friends or at home spoiling her two cats.

Meet Our Veterinarians at Tamborine Mountain Vet - Dr Suki Walton

Dr Suki Walton BVSc

Suki joined us as a new graduate from James Cook University in 2019 and luckily for us, has decided to stay. Suki grew up in South East Asia before giving in to the temptations of Australia’s beaches. She has a particular interest in surgery and is well known as our resident ‘çrazy-cat lady’

Suki is our artist in residence and when not helping your pets feel better she loves to paint and sketch. She is also our flying vet in the making, having just obtained her recreational pilots license.

Dr Kate Stanley BVSc

Kate Graduated from University of Queensland in 2000 and moved to Charleville with her husband Sam who is also a vet, where she worked in mixed practice for 8 years. During that time Kate had 3 children and also went on a year long working holiday in the UK. She moved to Beaudesert in 2009 and started work at our Tamborine Mountain clinic soon after.

Kate has a special interest in small animal endocrinology and orthopaedic surgery. She now lives on 50 acres outside Beaudesert with Sam and their 3 children, as well as rescue cat Nemo and dachshund puppy Larry. In the spare time she has Kate enjoys running, playing piano and guitar, and reading.

Dr Colleen Buckley BVSc

Colleen graduated from university of Queensland in 1990. She is an experienced vet who has worked in both small animal practice as well as mixed practice in Australia & the UK. Colleen enjoys the variety of work that being a veterinarian presents. She has previous experience with the pig industry and still maintains her connection to this with a role on an Pig Animal Ethics Committee.

Colleen was born and educated in the Scenic Rim and after many years away she returned here to live. In her spare time Colleen is kept busy with her family and running a farm.

Meet Our Nurses at Tamborine Mountain Vet - Amber Wilson

Amber Wilson VN

Head Nurse

Amber joined the Tamborine Mountain team as a student and studied for her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE. She obtained her qualification in 2019 and has become an integral part of the team. Amber enjoys all aspects of nursing including caring for inpatients, and assisting the veterinarians in the surgical theatre. She is also responsible for inventory control and ensure that the clinic is fully stocked with everything needed to care for your pets. Amber now has the role of Head Nurse.

When she is not at work Amber enjoys spending time with friends and family and exercising her young Kelpie, Alby.

Meet Our Nurses at Tamborine Mountain Vet - Dee

Deanne Szentpetery VN


Dee initially attended our Pimpama City clinic as a TAFE student to complete her placement hours while studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. When she graduated in 2021 she was employed in a casual capacity helping with holiday cover at all 4 of our clinics and has now become a permanent team member at the Tamborine Mountain clinic. Dee enjoys all aspects of her career but particularly loves nursing our hospitalised patients and ensuring they receive a high level of care during their stay with us.

When she isn’t caring for animals, Dee is either building and restoring furniture or painting up a storm with her crafty skills.

Meet Our Nurses at Tamborine Mountain Vet - Jenny

Jenny Randall VN


Jenny has been working at our Tamborine Mountain clinic since 2014 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2020. Prior to working in the veterinary profession Jenny was a dressage coach and still enjoys spending time with her four horses. Surgical nursing and inpatient care are areas of particular interest in her nursing role but Jenny enjoys all aspects of being a nurse.

When she is not working Jenny spends time with her young family, enjoys hiking and is currently training to run a half marathon.

Meet Our Team at Tamborine Mountain Vet - Kylie

Kylie Ferris


Kylie started working for Tamborine Mountain Vet Surgery in November 2021 having previously worked in a 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital. Kylie has always loved animals but is also a people person, and her warm, compassionate nature has seen her quickly become popular with clients and colleagues alike. She is really passionate about delivering high standards of customer service in a friendly, caring manner and says she loves being part of such a close knit, friendly team. At home her family comprises 3 grown-up children, 3 beautiful horses and 2 cute little French Bulldogs.

In her spare time she loves spending quality time with her family and going to the beach.

Annette Carson

Receptionist / Admin

Annette is our longest serving team member and has been working at the Tamborine Mountain clinic for many years. She initially started as Andrew’s nursing assistant before moving on to reception duties. Annette now works part-time and spends her days completing admin tasks and helping on reception when Kylie is away. At home Annette spends her time with her 2 rescue cats, Winnie & Woody.

In her spare time she loves spending quality time with her family and going to the beach.
