Meet our team of highly skilled, compassionate and friendly veterinarians at Canungra Veterinary Surgery.
Dr Suki Walton BVSc
Suki joined us as a new graduate from James Cook University in 2019 and luckily for us, has decided to stay. Suki grew up in South East Asia before giving in to the temptations of Australia’s beaches. She has a particular interest in surgery and is well known as our resident ‘çrazy-cat lady’
Suki is our artist in residence and when not helping your pets feel better she loves to paint and sketch. She is also our flying vet in the making, having just obtained her recreational pilots license.
Our Support Staff
Meet our team support staff including our nurses and receptionists at Canungra Veterinary Surgery.
Caitlin Talati VN
Head Veterinary Nurse
Caitlin joined the Canungra Clinic while she was still in high school, working her way up from being a trainee nurse to gaining her Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing qualification. She has been working full time at the clinic for many years now and has progressed to being the Head Nurse.
Caitlin enjoys both nursing and reception duties and is responsible for assisting the vet with the day to day running of the practice. She recently took time out to have a baby and is now back with us 3 days a week and often works at our Yarrabilba Hospital on Sundays too.
With any spare time she has Caitlin enjoys baking bread, spending time with her family and caring for all her animals.
Jess Pallet VN
Jess joined the Canungra team at the end of 2021 but has been working as a vet nurse for over 8 years. She obtained her Certificate IV Vet Nursing qualification 3 years ago and has worked with companion animals, farm animals & wildlife. Jess prides herself on providing excellent standards of patient care and she enjoys looking after our clients as well as their pet. Her warm, friendly manner means she has fitted in well at the Canungra practice.
When she is not at work, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband and their young son on their property. She has two horses, Woosh & Whisky.
Brooke joined the Canungra team as receptionist in 2021 and brings with her a wealth of animal experience. She holds a Certificate III in Animal Studies and has been working in the equestrian field for over 10 years, most recently as a Stipendiary Steward for the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission.
Brooke enjoys her role building relationships with our clients and supporting the vets & nurses. She would also like to complete her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing in the future. In her spare time Brooke enjoys training her horse Grenache, and taking her two dogs, Kendrick & Stella to the beach.
